Some fenugreek questions

Conlan is 16 months and still nurses every few hours, I produce enough milk for him but today I was approached by a friend wondering if I'd be willing to donate some milk to a mother of a newborn who has to start cancer treatment. I really want to but I don't get much out of pumping. If I started taking fenugreek would that help or would it not matter since it's pumping that gives me trouble?

And what is a good website that I could order some from online? I live in the middle of nowhere

You can probably get it from any chiropractor or health care store in your area

I tried fenugreek when DS was about 2weeks old... It gave him an upset tummy and some nasty BM, needless to say I only used it the once

you can get it at walmart or cvs and eat lots of steel oats or rolled oats  

Have you ever tried O'Douls Amber? That always turned me into a milk machine. They say dark beer helps your supply but I tried O'Douls instead since its non alcoholic and that worked best for me.

Does anyone know about the pumping issue? Is the fenugreek worth a shot or is it pointless?

you can try. you have to drink a smurf ton of water, and it might give more foremilk than hindmilk. I think it would be a great idea for you to try pumping for her. Pump all the time. as you are pumping have someone hold the pump and use both of your hands and cup them around the top of the breast and stroke down as the sucks, and go back to the top when it takes a breath. that will help encourage it to let down. When your son nurses on one side try pumping the other either during or after while your body is in bfing mode. Good look, I hope it can help  

GNC might hve an online store you can order it from. I would also get mothers milk tea. Also, if you can stand beer try drinking one a day (when youre not nursing your son or pumping for an hour or so obviously).

I gave up on pumping as I never got a lot out, I think I could have hand expressed more. It's worth a shot I guess. Sorry I couldn't be of any more help
