Stag Parties...

My new man and I have been dating for the past two months....i'm 21 he is 28 he is going to his best friends stag party tonight. I know its stupid of me to feel jealous but I do since he even told me strippers will be there. I could never say "hey i'd rather you not go to your best friends party" I have had alot of trust issues in every past relationship...so far this relationship there seems to be no problems with communication and trust we were friends for 4 years before we started dating...I'm just really self concious about just having a baby 6 months ago and having irrational thoughts that the strippers are better than me any day. What are some ways I can cope with him going and are my feelings irrational?

i wouldnt want my man going to a party with strippers. so i dont think your being irrational. thats just me though.

My DH is going to his brothers bachelor party in Oct. and staying the night in a hotel. I'm pretty sure strippers will be there too. You know what I'm going to do? Have a girl's night out, and take his credit card. Salon, dinner & out for drinks or a movie. That way I will keep my mind off of it and not be alone.

I would love to go out but my ex is working tonight so i'm stuck home alone with the baby to dwell in my thoughts...i've felt like throwing up all day. The guy going to the stag party its his birthday tmrw too so we are leaving for the cape in the morning...i'll try to look forward to that

Aww. Just try to think positive and keep yourself around someone to talk to.

theres prolly gonna be many guys and drinking he wont remember much. I doubt hes going just to see hot chicks and hink about how much hottter they are than you. he wont even compare you to them because he is old enough to know that theres a difference between a stripper and having a real relationship with someone. I know its nerve wracking, but i think its a good thing that youve been friends for so long   hes still gonna come home to you and think youre sexy  

I don't really have any good advice, my husband can't stand strippers but he has definitely gone to stag parties where they had them and it annoyed me but I just went and saw Magic Mike and annoyed him haha. Also, I've never heard anyone else here in the US call it a stag party. Are you Canadian or something? Haha.

aw thank you makes me feel a little better....this is why im' letting him go nothing is unsexier than someone that you JUST started dating saying you CANT go esp since we both recently got out of controlling relationships. I'm just praying he doesn't do anything too stupid lol...It does help that we are friends we are VERY open with eachother and its been almost a problem now that we are dating because i dont want to joke about women and sex like we used to since I actually have feelings for him...we've had talks and he respects that. Just hate stag parties ahhhh haha

I would not be okay with DH going to a bachelor party with drinking+ strippers. I don't believe he'd cheat again but in the past, he makes stupid choices when he drinks. DH doesn't even like strip clubs/strippers so it isn't an actual issue with us but I don't think you're in the wrong.

Oh, I'm from Canada and be call bachelor/bachelorette parties, stag/stagette parties haha.

I'm not sure if i should voice my feelings on the strippers today or not or how I even go about how I feel about that...If hes with me i guess its one thing if strippers were somewhere we could joke about it and whatnot but at a party drunk with a bunch of drugs and guys and strippers....thought gives me a migrane.

I was thinkng about it again and you should probably say something like this to him. It might make him get less drunk and be a little more responsible about it if he knows it would hurt you if he messed up.
