I'm voting for Romney. He might not be better than Obama, but he isn't Obama so I am willing to give him a shot at 4 years of smurfing up. Besides I don't share the same views with anyone.

The far left, including ur president scare me because of their love of socialism and a paternal government. At least conservatives/libertarians will acknowlege their philosophy. Lefty liberals MUST distance themselves as they'd never get elected if people REALLY knew who they were and what they had in mind for our country.

So... for anyone voting for Romney OR Obama because the other is "worse"...

Why aren't we all standing up and saying, hold on a second. Why aren't their candidates that are going to do something positive? Or why are the candidates that will do something positive not taken seriously-- because they aren't Republicans or Democrats?

I can get behind that. But... IMO... it's not enough to favor equal rights and choice. The people that need the equal rights do not have the power to change the system... and the people who have the power won't do anything. So...

Bah. I'm very disheartened today.

Apathy. So many people just dont care and/or are too lazy to look into better candidates. Not to mention the anal exam they get.

Absolutely.

But... how do you know what is a stretch and what isn't? I mean... ah. I'm having a hard time articulating anything today, or putting my thoughts/feelings into words.

Politicians lie like a rug. I know we discussed this in a previous debate, and agreed on that! haha.

So, with the combination of a candidate lying their asses off... and the media catering to BOTH agendas, and hiding anything that may... you know... tip off the American people that we have this illusion of choice which is nothing more than a puppet show...

"How can anyone get behind either candidate?", is I guess what I'm feeling today. How do you come to grips with your own morals if you are just voting for someone who's less smurffy than someone else?

For me, I have to vote for the person i feel has the country's best interest at heart AND has the wherewithall to lead the country in the direction of accomplishing milestones that are in that direction.

For McCain/Obama, it was hard for me to get off the couch and vote for McCain, but I certainly recognized the liberal radical that Obama was a knew I'd have to vote for the non-radical. I didnt like McCain.

Contrarily, I CAN get excited about Romney as he is VERY different from Obama and can lead us in the right direction. Sure, he supported some of the same things as Obama (i.e. TARP) but he is different enough from him that I'm gung-ho.
I dont want Roe overturned but it's not going to happen. Even if it did, I'm more interested in the millions of social problems occuring at the hands of this administration than i am about the abortion issue going back to the states (which wont happen... gotta say that againa and again).
IMO, unwanted pregnancy and other social problems are influenced by lack of opportunity.

The next president is poised to possibly select a supreme court judge or 3. That's scary. I have no idea if Obama will follow up on his support but I think it's a lot more possible during a 2nd term. I don't think it's enough personally, but to block the other side from setting things back half a century would be a start. There's nothing about any of Romney's campaign that appeals to me, the deception I've seen sickens me, and I have no faith in his economic plan to do anything but save him and his contributors a lot of money.

Because it takes more than 1 man to move a mountain.

Also, I wanted to vote for Fred Karger but he is already out.
