Do You Think That When Your Boobs...

...Hurt in pregnancy that it's your milk-production starting up that's the cause behind it? I'm getting pains in only certain parts of my boobs.. not all over.. And I know boob pain is like, duh, normal but.. I just wonder what the reason is behind it? I've never asked an OB before.. Maybe I should start writing some of this stuff down.. lol

I never really had any major boob pain they were tender at first but now there fine and im leaking colostrum.

I would think pain like the pain you have when you're about to start your period and the pain or soreness you get in pregnancy is from hormones that are causing a little engorgementin those milk producing mammories. I don't know about pain in only a part of your boobs. Mine will get sort of tender all over at times, it's not milk prduction per say but a precursor or readying for milk production that's homronal in origin I think.

I think my OB said its the milk ducts developing further?

I mean, sometimes they're tender but @ other times it seems like I get stabbing pains on the sides or underneath.. Sometimes it feels like someone is stabbing me straight through my nipple /shudder.. It gets annoying for sure..

Mine hurt, It feels like heartburn tho, but its on the sides. Not sure if we're talking heartburn or boobie pains. Probably boobie pains because grabbing them makes it better!  

I think I know what you mean.. like as if there's a small ball thing inside and that entire little ball hurts.. and its not always the same spot.. i dunno.. I didn't think of it much.. i guess i can call it like a small cramping? not so sure what it is..

I absolutely HATED that shooting pain in the boobs! I never thought to ask either, but I know exactly what you mean. I still got that even when BFing the baby, so I think there's a possibility that milk production could be the cause. If you think to ask your next appt.....let us know what they tell you. LOL
