Thats a pretty long time for a 28 weeker to be in the NICU, he must have been in until his due date? 6 weeks is about average.

yeah i am just happy to have her home. I have had my Gabby home for 2 weeks and a half! She is hooked up to a heart monitor though, but that should be coming off soon. When i brought her home she was on oxygen, but when i took her to her pediatrician he said that she didn't need the oxygen anymore! She is 6lbs now! She has come a very long way! The doctors had told me that she wasn't going to be in the NICU long cause she was basically developed, her lungs just needed that extra boost for a little bit.

Well My Gabby wasn't due until June 8 I brought her home May 2. She was born at 28 weeks at 2lbs 10.7ounces. When i brought her home she was 4lbs 11ounces. Now she is 6lbs! It is such a joy to have her home! Each and every day i thank God that he took care of my Gabby Wabby! And I know he is still taking care of her and he will always take care of her!

Yes, my daughter was a 28 weeker too, which is why I know that 2 1/2 months is longer than 'average' for a 28 weeker to be in NICU

Drew was born at 33 weeks. He was 5 lbs and stayed in NICU for 2 weeks.

I really don't know. Gabby Wabby is my first baby! So for me 6 weeks was long,but i remember this lady that was in the NICU her baby weighed 1 pound exactly and well her baby started gaining weight slowly. Gabby was 32 weeks when she started being bottle feed that baby wa 39 weeks. Well that's the gestational age. They had already been in the NICU for about 9 weeks. .

You know, I'm not sure. I don't recall when his due date was. He is 3 now, he he.
