how many of you waited the full six weeks after havinga baby to have sex? If not how long did you last and did it hurt really bad?

good question i am interested as well... my mom shocked me when she told me that her and my dad only waited 2 weeks and she still had stitches in

I was terrified to have sex, so I waited longer until I was comfortable. You have to EASE back into it.

Def. wait till stitches are gone, other than that when you are confortable, I waited about 3 1/2 weeks, and it was a little painful at first.

My episiotomy hurt for a long time afterward so I was thinking I would rather cut off one of my fingers than have sex any earlier than the 3 1/2 mos we waited (DH is so patient). I also took 8 mos to heal from the catheter so it was a fairly painful experience up until that point...just gotta go slow.

we only waited 2 wks, i had a c-section tho. I also had a really fast recovery from it with no pain after I left the hospital
