Well if they want you to it by yourself, then its your choice of what to do. Mom can't have it both ways, telling you what to do AND Then saying but i am not helping you at all.

I would go to school if I were you. I did homeschooling because I would have only been a sophmore and I didnt want to do 3 more years. But I bet if you did your schedule right you might be able to graduate in a year. Talk to your guidance counselors.

I'm seventeen and I set up a system with my school so that when my Son arrives i can email my teachers and have a confrence with them once a week to dicusss my classes. That way i can be home with my son and still get my work done. I think it will make it alot easier.

You should talk to a guidence counslor about it!

As a Mom.. Yes if my daughter 15/16/17 even 18.. decided she wanted a little one.. intentionally done / by accident it happen.. Girls that AGE.. they know where baby's come from and how they get there.. Id Be strict too.. and try to make em' Do stuff themselfs.. but if it was a last resort thing that I had to help.. ID HELP.. but limit it.. to 2 be mean HEARTED towards my child by anymeans but i know 2 many females that by the time they are 19/20.. they are on their 2nd kid.. like they didnt LEARN the 1st time.. being a mom ISNT EASY.. not ment to be.. and i wish soem parents would step back and let their child learn more from their mistakes ( NOT like having a child IS A "MISTAKE" ) ex ME.. im going on my 7th.. so no THEY ARENT.. its just having them at such a young and tender age.. when you should be studying/ learning life.. but some have 2 worry about baby getting up every 2hrs.. trying to study and go to school and work all at the same time..

at my school they have this thing called home boundand the teachers come to your house once a week and help you get cought up on your work if you cant go to school but only if theres a good reason so my mom talked to the school to see if i could do that and they said yeah and i would get i think 6 weeks off to stayt home and take care of my baby and get my work done the only preoblem is that i didnt tell anyone that i was pregnant my school is VERY judgmental thats why im a little nervous about going there with a 6 month big belly and there arnt any people that are pregnant at my school so i was thinking about doing homeschool untill i had my baby then do homebound then go back to school after the 6 weeks but i would still have to pay prolly about 280 dollars but id what do you guys think???

I think you should go ahead and do the homebound thing and then go back to school. I know it's going to be hard facing everyone with a big belly BUT you're going to face judgement for being a teen mom anyway, from alot of people. It's something you're going to have to deal with, unfortunatly. If you can go back to a regular school with regular classes you'd probably have more of a chance with continuing your education into college if you want to.

You don't have to do homeschooling...there's this thing called Independent Study that I do where you get a packet a week..there's a set of 3 packets..so it takes 3 weeks to finish a class. You just do the packets at home &then go once a week for a meeting to turn in your work. I was in Independent Study before I got pregnant just because I think school is boring &would rather work &have money to spend then sit 8 hours a day in a classroom buuut if I were you I would just try &stay in your regular school. You got yourself pregnant so take the responsibility and just go to school. You need to be proud of your situation because you got yourself into it..sure you'll get stares but they won't go away..even when you're 19 with a 3 yr old..it's just life..it happens a ton, I mean..look at BG ha there's a ton of teen moms.

I would just stick school out, be proud of who you are..you're still the same girl, you're just creating a baby inside so you'll be having a cute baby bump!

I'm 22 and I'd have to say I babysat 15-17 no problem they were older kids 6-9. I would go to social services and get a voucher for daycare the provide them and you could still go to school. If that doesnt work there maybe some type of grant for H/S teen moms. For college you should have no trouble. Our campus has special housing for parents, daycare and special scholarships. I dunno when you graduate I just thought you may want to know for future use.

What is all this talk about her "parents stepping up"???

Her parent's aren't the ones that got pregnant when they couldn't afford it and weren't finished school. It is HER responsibility to take care of herself and this baby...
Her parent's already raised their child...

Seriously.....

You know KNT: going to school while pregnant and having a child is NOT that hard. You can do it even if you don't get to homeschool!
