My little goober does that. She's 2 weeks old, and sleeps -tons-. She's just now getting to where she stays awake more at a time before passing back out for 3-4 hours, and sleeping pretty much through the night (only to wake me at six a.m., and then again at nine.)

Yup, He sleeps 3-4 hours at a time, and Wakes me around 4-5am, then he's usually always up by 8am. Then... he passed back our by NO later then 10am.

I just worry cause He wasn't gaining enough weight at first, I wanna make sure he feeds enough.
Yesterday he ate like every 30 minutes thou, So I'm hoping he is just full!

Yup, it's normal. For about the first month or so all they do is eat, sleep, pee, poop, and cry. They will gradually start staying awake more and more. Also at times they will have days they are lazier or more awake than usual.Myyoungest daughter told me her new little brother needed new batteries because he didn't do anything. Lol. How old is your sweetie now?

babys sleep most of the time when just NewB. but if your nursing make sure you wake em up.. aleast every 3/4 hrs. because breastmilk goes right thro the little guys.. and you dont want em 2 become lazy becauase they arent eating as often as they should be.. even if you wake em up every couple hours for 5-10 min feedings.. atleast you know hes eating the way he should be and nothing major is wrong. a good sign hes not eating as often is usually Jaundice will set in and it will become VERY hard to wake em up and keep em awake enough to eat. But more then likely .. the HEAT had much to do with the way lil ones sleeping.
