Yes this is my third baby lol but its been nearly three years since my lil girl was born and needless to say we were not prepared for her! She came early and without warning! I want to be ready. I have a bag packed for the hospital and a diaper bag but don't want to forget anything. Any help?

For a diaper bag:
A spare outfit or two for baby. A spare shirt for you in case of spit up. Burp cloth. A bib. Bottle(s) and formula if you formula feed. Diapers and wipes. A portable changing mat. A pacifier.
For HOSPITAL:
Comfy clothes for you. A onesie and a going home outfit for baby. Socks for you! Hair ties, toiletries, makeup, a brush, camera, cell phone/charger, granola bars or some sort of snack for after delivery in case you hate the hospital food, lol.

Yes Ashley named a lot of them. I know some people who bring cds and books and what they are craving to eat as well as champagne to celebrate when babys born. Also comfy clothes to go home in and cant forget the carseat and warm clothes, cus hospitals are freezing. Pillows if you like certain ones. Its all up to the mommy and what she feels she needs. good luck girls

Not all decide champagne but i know a few do personally I hate that stuff. i would just be ok with some coffee! And if i could breastfeed i would but with my medical condition i can not. you named it all that comes to my mind.

Nobody told me this but you will definitely need to bring your own shampoo & conditioner!!! At my hospital it's just this all over wash and I couldn't brush my hair after I used it.. I begged my Mom to bring me some from home so she did lol

Yes I heard that most hospitals dont When I had my 7yr old they had shampoo and conditioner there and it wasnt the cheap crappy stuff either/ But I am bringing my own this time, new state new hospital from last time. Other thing that changed from the births of my boys is that I dont have my mom or fam here for this one they are all back home in MA.

I wish someone would have told me to bring the baby's nail clippers. The day after she was born her cheeks were all scratched up from her long nails, and it was Thanksgiving so there was no where to get any

Yeah I agree def something to pack in the diaper bag. I personally also love grip socks they are comfy and warm on my feet with the cold hospital floors.

The hospitals ask you not to cut your baby's nails while in the hospital for fear of infection etc ...

I guess all hospitals are different, because when I asked the nurse if she knew where to get some nail clippers she said "No, but my mom use to just chews ours off" There was never anything or anyone who told me not to cut her nails, and I found clippers and did it. I was glad I did because her face was so scratched up, it was horrifying. I guess you just have to make sure you cut the nail, not the finger, which has never been a problem for me

You can ask for a list of things the hospital supplies, our supplies diapers, wipes, baby t-shirts, toiletries everything. I wore the hospital gowns and ours had nursing gowns as well.
I did bring an outfit for me to wear, elastic waisted pants, clean nice shirts for everyone for pictures, hairbrush and slipper socks.
You should also ask people not to bring gifts to the hospital, you just have to carry everything out and change your message on your cell phone for visiting hours. Mine were 9am-11am and again 3pm-5pm that way I could nap, have lunch with my husband etc. and not feel the need to entertain. My husband also put a sign on the door and unless I called a nurse they left me alone, most of the time.
