It's not just the name thing, you are a total flake with no consistency when it comes to running this forum. The fact that you think everything of the last month or so pins on that one incident alone is a key sign of how ostrich you are.

Im not sure. I guess it depends on why they want to "out" them
if its for drama and just because they can then yes
If it was to say protect someone or save someones life for example a person posts on BG secrets saying they are going to kill themself or someone else and they try and figure out who it is to save them, then no.

i'm just looking at this from the smurf angle.

I personally would never use the BG Secrets account, but for people that do it is a way to get something off their chest and EVERYONE should respect that. The password should only be given to a few, trustworthy members and if one of the members is leaking info. about who is using it, they should be banned immediately and forever. What right do they have to give away someone's secret?

Oh my. It looks like there is some animosity going on around here right now. I think I know what the incident was but I certainly don't know enough about the situation to voice an opinion. I think me and my small PC will just sit here quietly for a little while and stay out of the way.

that's already a rule.

the BG secrets people will be banned for outing anyone.

what we're talking about here is ANY member who somehow knows or think they know who posted a secret and attempts to accuse them of that on the public boards.

i think the basic stipulation here is if it's clear the poster is at risk of or already endangering/harming them self or another human being, then attempting to ID the user becomes important, but this still doesn't have to be a public effort, eh?

So like if I was reading something I knew someone's kids were G, J & H. They posted a secret about cheating on their husband. G came home from school early and grandma dropped off baby J. So I'm chuckling about how this is obviously so and so because they were dumb enough to use their kids names. So next time she pisses me off I throw out there that she is a bitch for cheating on her husband and everything else.

I'm not sure that's grounds for a ban on my part. Why were they a little more cautious.
