After my shower this morning I was looking at myself in the mirror thinking about how fat I still am after the baby, so I said to my husband "I can't believe how fat I look now." and his reply-
"You're not that fat."
 

That's better than "Yeah, I can't believe how fat you are either"   He's a man, they don't know any better.

I know it doesn't make up for what he said, but mama, you're bringing another life into the world, be damn proud of yourself, I make myslef laugh by thinking, what is a mans excuse for gaining excessive weight????

just imagine the weight that hes probally gained since you guys have been married..lol whats his excuse.. Your a mommy/ going to be soon.. your body was ment to Gain that weight and get rid of most of it afterwards.. He gained 30 lbs while I was pregnant, not counting the 20 he gained when we got married. So yeah he did look pretty stupid with his gut and double chin telling me I'm not that fat lol. At least I'm losing the weight!

the sad part is that he probably meant it as a compliment or at the very least as a reassurance. I swear sometimes men need a translator in their brain that let's them know how what they're fixing to say will sound to a woman lol I have a look that I give to my hubby when he says something dumb and I can see his little wheels working and then he'll realize how it sounded and say "that's not what I meant"
