Bad Night

posted 17th May
Well Aidans 7 weeks and i finally thought we were getting somewhere with his sleeping pattern. Well last night was weird he was sleeping but kept moving and making noises like he was very uncomfortable. He would only drink 2 ounces stop fall asleep and fidget in his sleep wake up again 2 hours later crying hed drink 2 other ounces....same pattern all night long. This morning he was the same way only drink 2 ouces but was very fussy. Its frustrating not knowng whats wrong. he usually drinks 4-5 oz every 3 to 4 hours. Anyone else baby acts like this at times? I finally put him to sleep 30 mins and so far so good he hasnt been moving or fussing during his sleep.

My little girl did the same thing and I started giving her Mylicon drops and it has helped a lot. She fidgets a lot when she has bad gas especially when I can't get her to burp before she falls asleep.

Hope that helps

I was just going to post the same thing, my daughter gets like that and I give her the gas drops, usually she calms down... but she does the whole fidget/squirm/noise thing and that usually cures it, also just an FYI sometimes a warm bath helps -- hope today goes better!

We do the same for our little guy. It helps out alot, execpt yesterday he wasnt having the whole sleep thing down. He also only drank 2 ounces at a time. and would wake up cranky. I guess they have bad nights too.

Also how does he normally sleep? Last night (well, all day yesterday) my daughter was pissed off at the world lol, she wouldn't sleep was eating 2 oz every 2 hrs, gave her the gas drops, tylenol YOU NAME IT! Must have been the day for fussy babies. I think she slept the equivalent of MAYBE two hours yesterday, (she just turned a month old today), anyway back to my ?/point - normally she sleeps on her side/back, last night I had to put her on her stomach, apparently the 'pressure' helped. Hope you have some luck, let us know how your day goes ;)
