Units: About 4 million in the U.S. Note: In October 2007, 1 million Bumbo seats were voluntarily recalled to provide additional warnings against use on raised surfaces.

This seriously is insane to me. (Not you the recall.)
It's because parent's are putting kids, on elevated surfaces, in a seat that doesn't have a belt. It is NOT the company's fault that people are using this wrong. It's a frickin foam seat. Watch your kid crap wouldn't happen.

I didn't know that, I just requested mine. I've never had a problem with falls or anything because I've never left my baby unattended in mine, but thanks.

My son always got out of his. Just planted his feet and pushed back, taking the damn thing with it. A belt wouldn't have helped, he still would have gone over backwards.

My daughter does this too. And as parents we go "Hey lets not use this thing". But no, some people are dumb dumbs and still leave them in it, on a counter/table and walk away............gah!
I am on a soap box this morning lol

I think we need a recall on parents, some are missing a necessary component called common sense.

My LO always had hers on the floor because it just seemed pretty frickin obvious that she could pop out of it or the whole chair could tip. lol DUHHHHH. When she finally maneauver out of it and fell on the floor I was like "OMG MY BABY!!" hahaha totally overreacted   luckily she only fell like 2 inches but my rookie-mom status had me thinking it was a bad fall. Oh how things change hahahha

I call user error on this one. I never had an issue with mine because I always next on the floor next to DD when she was in hers. But there are lots of idiots who put their kid in them on the table and walk away.
