4pound 9 ounce at 34 weeks

Hey mums,
Had ultrasound last week because I have extra amniotic fluid
The ultrasound guy said she weighed 4 pound 9 ounce,but when I read baby gaga weekly updates says she should be nearly 6pound,does that mean shes too small at this stage,bit anxious I only have a few weeks left,

DD was born at 37w 6d at 5lbs 6oz. Not every baby is average, nor is every US estimate correct.

Ultrasound measurements can be inaccurate.

i gave birth to my daughter 4 weeks early and she weighed 5pound 1oz and she was fine. dont worry to much as they cant possibly honestly give u an accurate reading of your babys weight from inside the womb! can they?

when i had my son at 38 weeks he was barely over 6 lbs (6lbs 4oz) don't worry about it and like everyone else said ultrasounds can definitely be off by a bit.

6lbs at 34wks would put u on track for a 8- 10lb baby  
my 1st born @ 39wks was 6lbs 14oz, 2nd @ 37wks was 6lbs 7oz, 3rd @37wks was 6lbs 4oz, 4th @ 37wks was 5lbs 11oz & 5th @ 38wks was 6lbs 1oz.....all of them were perfectly healthy at birth (besides a little jaundice when they came home)

I had 4 growth ultrasounds...the last one said over ten pounds...like almost 11 or something..he was 9 pounds at birth.

My daughter was born at almost 36 weeks and weighed 5lbs8oz. U/S can be inaccurate and every baby is different. Dont worry mama!

They are now sending me to a specials for another ultrasound ,because she's smaller than her dates,now I'm terrified,she's in breech position,on referral it says she's also in breech position with fetal heart ausculatated well above umbilicus,does any one know what that means,I've tried googling it,but no getting anything much,probably cause I'm crying help

I was sent to a high risk doctor because DD was small, too. She was perfectly healthy, just a small baby.

I think that means they can hear her heart beat above your belly button which would mean she is probably Frank Breech. So they would need to look for sure and then determine what to do from here. I dont think its serious. Good luck!

some full term healthy babies only weigh 5-6 lbs I wouldn't worry. Your baby may just be a smaller one or the measurement could be off.

The ultrasounds are just estimates. But, I had DD at 34 weeks and she was 4lbs 3oz and the doctor said that her weight was right on for 34 weeks.
