Moms who are worried about bpa

Please no one start drama I just wanted to let people know.

Some babies r us stores are taking back bottles with bpa in them and giving you store credit. I heard it on a differant parenting board I go on. They are getting told no over the phone but if they show up with the bottles they are taking them back. Im going to see if mine will take them back for new bottles for the next baby. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up just in case yours will take them back. So far some stores in tx, Connecticut and one other state were able to take them. I just saw a post today so not sure what other states but more have done it.

What is BPA? and how do you k now if the bottles you use might have it??

They did not have the recipts and I dont think all the bottles were bought at babies r us.

We use the "Avent" bottles... but only maybe once a day if that. I only use them when supplementing w/ formula.

One of them was given to us from Babies R Us for registering there, one we just recently (about 2 weeks ago) purchased from Babies R Us, and the 3rd one was given to us and I'm not sure how old it is (we threw the nipple away).

Thats good to know.. but we threw away all my sons bottles and I only bought the BPA free ones for my daughter.. Medela, Born Free and Adiri. Her favorite is Born Free so if anyone is trying to choose, I would try those. She is breastfed and can easily transition over with this bottle..

I'm not getting rid of our bottles at this time.. Hailey is nearly bottle broke and I'm not switching bottles at this time.

If our Babies R Us did this.. I would schedule a day to drive over an hour to BRU and exchange all but a couple of bottles for maybe some clothes.. But not investing $$ into more bottles since she is nearly bottle broke.

I have looked at BPA free bottles..but will make a decision on new bottles later when I get pregnant again
