I will use the lysol spray for sure. We have actually talked about just getting rid of the carpet and installing tile. We rent the house from family members and if we do that we can put what we pay for rent towards the imporvements from what I understand. As for a new puppy. Two puppies one cat and five kids is enough. And if the worst happens and I lose on or both of my puppies I won't be in any hurry to get another one. I would worry about the new puppy getting it to much. 80% is a decent chance though. The vet said we caught it early.

They are getting extra loves but the kiddos don't understand why they can't play with the puppies so they keep trying to get them riled up. Bad idea becasue both puppies are grouch and snappy right now. So basicly my hubby and I are giving them extra loves. My boy dog whines if I go out of the room where he can't follow. His sister is more my husbands doggie. or atleast she prefers him.

Ya know my dogs are the same way... well sort of reversed... our female prefers me and the male prefers my husband... very strange.
Poor kids... that's got to be tough... Do you just tell them that their puppies are sick? God that's almost like trying to explain like somebody died. geeze...

They are adorable! My kids actually tried potty training our cat that way when she was a kitten. But when I walked in on them and startled them they accidently dropped her in the potty. Poor kitty was soaked. She hate the bathroom to this day and that was atleast 9 months ago.

ehh potty training not so well. The sad thing is, we had 3 dogs (we had give our pit to a friend for awhile, I think it could become a permanent)and we live in a 1 bedroom apartment..lol Well the pet deposit here is $350 per dog. Needless to say we never paid it. We have been here for awhile and they still haven't figured us out. Well we couldn't take our dogs out when apartment people were out there so we put puppy potty pads down in the bathroom and trained them to go there when we couldnt take them out. Great Idea for the poodles. worked fine. lets put it this way, the pit is alot bigger than the poodles..We are leaving next week, so all in all I think we did a pretty good job of keeping our dogs a secret..lol We take them on post everyday and let them run around up there and go for walks. We feel bad not being able to let them out whenever they want.

The kids think it is just like the stomach flu. And my five year old just can't seem to comprehend that the puppies really are sick. My oldest knows it is serious becasue my eyes were all red when I came home from the vet. She knows I was crying. They just ate some boiled chicken and rice for me. It is the only thing they have really eaten. The vet said once they can keep food down for 24 hrs and the runs are gone for 24 hours they are in the clear. I don't want to lose them. The first thing we are going to do when they are 100% is go swimming they love the water. They have invaded my 5 year olds bath more than once. My daughter claims that they open the door and climb in all by themsleves...lol. What is that country song about beach from property in az if you believe that one.

Oh I bet you're excited!!! I heard it SUCKS out there! We were stationed at Hood for 2 years... and finally got away. I've got a buddy out there that practically wants to kill himself because he hates it so much. haha. He won't do it but you know what I mean...

My husband was stationed herefor about 2months in2006 before he deployed. He got back in dec and I moved out here with him. We have been here about 6 months and are going to Fort Sill (lawton ok) on wednesday. I'm excited to be getting out of Hell Paso. I hate it here.
