Not quite that much, lol. I think taking the bus would cost me $30/ 2 weeks, and taking my car would cost me about $60 for two weeks. But that's half, and my husband then can utilize the car (he's a SAHD) .

Yeah, we have a little Dodge Neon, and my commute is only about 20 miles round trip. I wouldn't even need to fill the tank at the end of the first week if that was ALL I was driving to.

gah I want to move back to boston. Apartments are expensive but we would still save $$ since we can walk take the bus or T everywhere.

With my hubby's car it was horrible. I think I was filling up twice a week at $60 a pop   and that was just to go to work and back! I'm kinda glad it crapped out and we can only really use it for "emergencies".

We put in $20 almost every day, sometimes every other day. We wait until it's 3 quarters filled and just fill it back up, we're thinking somehow it'll get more milege that way. But we also do a lot of driving with only one car.

In the morning I go to work and have to take Kenzie to daycare, and my house is a mile from my work place, but 15 miles from Kenzie's daycare, so that's 30 miles right there, just in the morning. And then it just gets worse throughout the day.

My Tahoe takes anywhere between $80 and $90 every time I fill up. The other night I walked into a gas station and there was a high school girl who handed the guy a $20 - she said she wasn't sure if that would fill up her car. The gas attendant commented on how sad it was that kid her age will probably never know what it's like to just 'fill it up'. People put $20 here $40 there - I consider myself lucky that I can acutally fill my car when I go to the pump.

I kinda agree, it is sad. I've never NOT filled up my gas tank, the car seems to get better milage when I fill it up all the way...

$3.69 for unleaded . I try to fill up my SUV at half tank once a week so it doesn't cost quite as much.
