will you or did you look during labor and delivery ?

posted 16th May
I was thinking about this today and I started to wonder how many moms out there actually looked during labor at the baby emerging ..or how many plan to have a look???
How many moms don't want to see?...I , personally can't decide...I would love some feedback ..
are you glad that you looked ?
Do you wish that you had looked?
What was your expierence like ..or what do you plan on it being like??

It's kinda hard to see down there when your legs are being held up at your side and all. My husband and mother watched I didnt get to see anything until they pulled her out.

i didnt look....i decided not to...i have seen births before and i was afraid that if i saw what was happening i would get scared or discouraged. While some people think seeing will "help" them i thought it would make it worse. But that's just me.

I wish I would have recorded it... but realized this in hindsight.

I had a mirror set up and got to see everything!  I loved it and will o it for every other baby I have.  I'm an RN though and have lots of labor and delivery experience so it was right up my alley.

My hubs, however, never looked down.

well I looked ( couldn't really see much at first ) but I also had my sister video tape it, my boyfriend said he couldn't look but he did and he cut the cord! My dad also helped hold my legs and he looked too ( not to be nasty or anything my son is his 4th grandson and 6th grandchild, plus I am his babygirl ) but if you think you can handle it, ask for a mirror and ask to have someone video tape it....if not, don't. Sometimes things go so fast there is not enough time for that!

I had a mirror brought in for mine. I geek out on stuff like that   It kind of motivated me because I could see what was happening and showed me that pushing was accomplishing something(If that makes any sense).
