WOW, Im a recessive gene carrier and I have to get my boys shecked when they are old enough. I thought that it only effected boys? Mysperm donoris red green CB and I have been told that girls camt be red green but are carriers and have 25% chance of all male offspring being effected.. Well theres something I learned today...

Nope,I'm red green colorblind-it is rare for women-very rare-one parent has to also be cb,and one has to be a carrier who also has a cb parent. So,I'm pretty sure both my boys will be, as my husband is also red green cb.
we travel in packs,I guess,lol!

You make a good point..It does seem like lots of other folks will be there to see my baby make her grand enterance into this world so..maybe I should have a peek too..I just have to feel brave enough to do it..but , ..hell it's my body so why not?/

When you approach the nurses station look for the big box behind the counter hiding in the corner....THAT'S where youplace ALL your dignity when you are in labour.
Believe me...well at least in my case, by the end I did not care who was staring and my whoo hoo.
I just have to teach/train my DH how to take the lens cap off, shoot and point without terrific footage of the cupboards, the chairs, the ceiling oh yeah nad cutting my head off in all photos....
But your little princess is due on my birthday, so you couldnt have picked better timing...Its a good day.
We didnt get the birthing suites when I had Joel there was a rush of babies, 8 in one day, but it turned out, Like on Mad About You, we had the best room anyway and would be more than happy to deliver in the same room again.
Who knows could be this week for us! Will let you know.

Now I regret not recording my labor   I'm curious how it looked. Also I wish I recorded it so Kevin could have seen it. He missed our son's birth by 5 days because he was away for Basic   So next time =D
Think about it, don't kick yourself later like I am.

I did not look with my first and i do not plan to look this time either. I am too visual of a person, i feel it will make me hurt more seeing it all. I am confident that the doc has it under control. lol!

I would have to look in real time if I want to see my baby emerge ..In my hospitol there are no video cameras allowed at all..I am pretty sure that even a normal camera is not allowed untill the docs give the Ok ..I imagine that this is because of lawsuits and what not ..but either way ...I will have one chance to see ..and I'm still not sure that I am going to take it ...I don't want to regret seeing my bits looking like that , but I don't want to regret missing it either ...

I've heard of some hospitals not allowing video cameras. Well that sucks, I'm sorry. Don't worry once you start pushing you're not going to care who's watching. I say do it. You might regret it later if you don't.
