getting ready for baby show?

i got an invite in the mail to a getting ready for baby show at a hotel.. i looked it up online and cant find anything about it... i found one forum that says its a scam to get you to buy things. but i wanted to go because it says free gift .. so idk.. has anyone ever got one of those? what is it??

I've gotten one too, but we figured they wanted us to buy something too, so we didn't go.
