Chicken slow cooker recipes

posted 14th Aug '12
I've got chicken that I want to throw in the slow cooker. It's my first try with the slow cooker so I'm needing some recipe help. I also have a ton of tomato soup I need to get rid of. Also hopefully less then 6 hour cook time.

That first one sounds pretty yummy. I have extra tomato soup that expires soon so it would of been a plus to use it. Hubby said he would eat it but he won't I may have to resort to the BBQ sauce.

What's your blog? We all love sweet and sour chicken here. I don't have much extra that I could think of that would work.

canned soup is good long after the expiration date. Food has to have an expiration date. I wouldnt' worry about it.

or... make grilled cheese soon with tomato soup.

or... use hte tomato soup for home made sloppy joes. (google, but I know it has mustard, tomato soup, and brown sugar)

My favorite chicken recipe in the slow cooker is chicken soup. Its super good. Just cut chicken up into small pieces, add in some broth and carrots, then seasonings (I use basil, thyme, rosemary, garlic, onion, salt and pepper). Cook that on high for a few hours, then add in some spinach and cook another hour or so. If you want, you can drop some small dumplings in there for the last 30 minutes. Its SO good! I'd say you can get it done on high in 5 hours, as long as the chicken is cut small.

no worries! I cook awesome... but was 28 before someone showed me home made sloppy joes. Haha.. it never occured to me. then again... buying one can.. and adding a bunch of stuff and cooking... OR... buying a can and cooking.. just didnt' make sense haha.

but.. if you need to get rid of it.. it's good.
