Birth Control

Which is best? My doctor told me to decide on one before my next appointment so they can be prepared on what to do when I have given birth. So my question is... the shot, the pill, or and IUD? I heard the pill makes you gain weight, being post pregnancy I don't want to gain more weight afterwards, I'd like to start losing it. But I wasnt sure if this was true or not? What are your experiences, which do you prefer?

I'm going to be going with Mirena. It's for women with a child or children, who don't want any other children in the next 2-5 yrs...and it fails about as often as having your tubes tied. So it works for me. Justin and i are both really excited to try it out.

I have heard the shot sucks ass. The IUD worked for me although i couldnt lose any weight so that prolly doesnt help.

The pill didn't make me gain any weight. Usually if you do gain weight on it it's like 3 or 4 pounds... BUT I did get pregnant on the pill haha It is supposed to be like 99% effective. I just forgot to take it on a few occasions and had to take 2 in one day so that\s probly what messed it up. I'm sure if u take it everyday at the same time u won't have problems with it. My sister uses this ring thing that she puts inside her and she said she likes itbetter than the pill cause shed always forget to take it too

I'm on the pill Loestrin 24. I've actually lost 23 lbs since being on it.

Yeh I plan on nursing if everything goes smoothly and I am able to. I know sometimes its hard to get the baby to latch on or your milk supply doesnt build up.
