Vaccines question!

All of a sudden, I seem to be around all kinds of vaccine questions. Got in a debate the one night with my friend because she chooses not to vaccinate her children anymore. She said her nephew after his 2 year shots became autistic. Can this happen? I also just saw something in suffering and loss about a 14 month old...possible vaccine death. How do you momma's feel? I just thought you were supposed to vaccine, I never heard of this ever happening. Now all of a sudden I feel sorrounded by it and freaked out!

I don't see any concerete proof that shots lead to autism. Some babies like your friends may have already been autistic..it is hard to DX till after age 2 yrs anyway.
I vac cass b/c I can protect her from the devils I know..ie polio, measles, hep b...then the maybe ones.

My uncle is a pedi and he strongly recommends vaccinating. I expressed all my fears to him and he told me that there really is not sufficient evidence to show any kind of connection between autism and vaccinations! Plus, in my area, we just had a huge outbreak of measles because someone didn't vaccinate their kid, went to Europe, the kid was exposed to measles and brought it back here. I trust my Uncle 100% and he definitely wouldn't encourage me to vaccinate (or for his twin grandsons to be vaccinated) if he thought there was any risk!

Not meant to start a huge debate. I am just curious if anyone has heard of this. not Autism alone, but they say other things can happen from shots also. My boys are both vaccinated, I am just curious.

I have heard some thigns on this, and from what I saw on the news program i watched they said that whatever was supposed to have done it was removed? Or replaced? Or made safer something like that so either way they're safe again. And they also said there was no concrete link i the first place so...why did they need to fix it? Idk I got confuzzled but either way I'm planning to vaccinate. I agree 100% with Erica here. These diseases are known to be deadly and harmful. We don't KNOW that they cause anything other than prevention in babies.

OH boy....I didn't mean to start any drama. Was just curious because I was arguing with my friend. I don't understand why she wouldn't vaccinate.
