First period after childbirth?!?

How was your first period after chilbirth, so far my is VERY painful. Horrible cramps, backache, and nausea. Im having to take my leftover pain meds from my c-section just to function. Before I only had mild cramping that was always relieved by Advil or Pamprin...

i'm 2 days into my first pp period and even thought the PREmenstrual cramps were longer than usual, the actual menstrual cramps and flow are lighter than usual. And I'm not nearly as moody. I could get used to this
Good luck with yours though!

Before Matthew, I had horrible cramps and a very long, very heavy period. My first PP period came as a total surprise. Matthew was 6 months old (to the day), and I went to the bathroom and noticed I was on my period. No cramps or PMS, no warning at all. 4 days of moderate bleeding and I was done. It was honestly a relief - I had to go on iron supplements because my period was so heavy before kids, and I had to have the first two days off work because the cramping was so intense. It would radiate through my back and down my leg, and I could hardly stand to walk. The two periods I had between pregnancies were a walk in the park.

I had mine at 6 wks pp... my cramps were actually bearable my first pp period which is a huge change for me since ever since i was 13 theyd have me writhing and crying in pain ( i missed A LOT of school and work)... but the bleeding was REALLY heavy... I woke up one day after a 2 hour nap and having just changed my super tampon before lying down and i was soaked in blood... i could even wring it out of my clothes... and it lasted for about 9 or 10 days... but as long as the excrutiating pain doesnt return i could do the bleeding every day!!!
