question about dropping

okay so I'm 37 weeks and 2 days now and my son has started to drop, for the past week I've been having a TON of pain/ pressure on my cervix.. as some of you would like to say "it feels like he's tring to claw his way out" (lol never fully understood until now!)

but my question is: I've been having a lot of pack pain, especially lower back pain in the past few days. Is that caused by him dropping, or is it just from my belly being so big??

I mean my back has been hurting for a while, but over the past week or so it's gotten so much worse. 
I have a hard time getting up, a hard time bending over, and I feel like I walk and move soo slow now lol the last few weeks really ARE miserable..

oh edited to add** I have been having BH a lot lately too

when my son started seriously dropping down my back started hurting more..like sharp back pains! i catch myself putting my hands on my back like a big ol' preggo and im not that terribly big..lol
but i will say that my back hurt more once he dropped as well....its all downhill lady!

me too!! its the image of a pregnant woman that everyone smiles/giggles at and then wakes up and realizes that is them!

Going through the same thing.
I drop stuff on the floor and just leave it there now. haha.

my fiance offered to get me a prenatal massage for mothers day and I said it sounded nice but it seems like a waste of money IMO.. haha but now,I think I'm going to take him up on that offer..

Those soudn like they may be real contractions. One of the questions we always ask is if your contractions are being felt in your back and around your sides, and down into your thighs. Baby dust to you!!

BTW, where are you delivering? We are both near the A2 area, and I am delivering at St Joe's.

Hm, I'm not sure what its caused by, but I had alot ov back pain just before I had my daughter [come to find out it was back labor] but it could be from both, I believe with your stomach being big and him dropping, its probably putting a strain on the muscles in your back, have you tried a heating pad perhaps?

Are we having the same pregnancy?? lol. I feel exactly how you do. A ton of BH (starting to get painful too,) back pain, and the pressure. I'm soooooo ready!

me too--and my knee has been sore from the humidity and surgery last year so im like a penguin WITH a peg leg..lol im sure its quite the site from behind!

LOL, too funny. Oh the woes of pregnancy. I was so in love with being preggo til the past 3 weeks. Now I'm just whiney and impatient.
