Nope, but I think the poster is quite affective. A single unfixed cat can me responsible for 450,000 kittens in her lifetime (Her kittens, her kittens kittens, so on and so forth) That is a lot of animals lives in shelters that could have been saved.

As for your family that wont go to shelters, or adoption events, or petsmarts that have adoptions, maybe you should encorage them to do that, since it is the right thing to do.

They also have neuter/spay and release programs for wild cats to help curb the population. Not that you would care.

I never said you were a nutcase, I just happen to have a different opinion than you. You are more than welcome to yours, since every human is entitled to their own, and I won't stop you/mock you from/for expressing it.  


I just don't feel it necessary that if a cat is indoor, and I usually only keep one male and one female cat at a time, that they can't produce a litter or two if compelled to do so. If it ever came to the point where the animals were going crazy and the labor was starting to cause faulty delivery, I would most definitely spay/neuter my animal. I'm just saying I'm not: A) Randomly removing the ability to give birth, and B) Throwing animals into traffic.

I'm not for neutering and spaying an animal, then just releasing them. As the list said, a 'danger to community' that causes vehicular accidents. 

I originally adopted my cat from Petsmart, I'm fairly well acquainted with the Halo program. I would encourage them to go, since you consider it the 'right thing to do', but they can choose to do whatever they please. If they want to purchase a cat, fine. If they want to steal a cat from their neighbor, not my business. As long as they're not sacrificing animals, I really don't care where they get them from. It's their deal.

Im sorry but i really think you are wrong on animals not having emotions. You need to get a life. If a mother animals lost her baby, or the baby is missing the mother will cry and cry looking or missing her baby. Us humans get the same way. So i dont care what the hell you think. In the wild animals wean the babies away from them so they can go on their own. No one is "taking" anyone away.If we have animals like cats and dogs in our house and they are going to havebabies, then we need to do what they do in the wild. Take them away when they are old enough.

I lean toward Pro-Life, which generally pertains to childbirth and abortions. 

I also support the Death Penalty.

Why? How?

Because I encourage the potential of life, the nurturing of something innocent and wonderful, another human being. I also happen to know the ins and outs of abortion, and though there are some 'exceptions' there are not many. 

Just as I am willing to extinguish a life that takes innocence and human life.

I never said they dont have emotions, they definetely have emotions. I just said they dont have the same human emotions we do, as in they dont desire to have children. Not that they wouldnt be said if their kittens die. Good lord.

A huge part of my life IS animal rescue and trying to prevent animals from being needlessly killed in animal shelters every year. Millions of animals. So too bad that is not enough of a life for you, but to me having something that you are passionate about is the most important thing in life. My passion just happens to be gettting people to stop needless making more and more animals when there are so many waiting to be adopted in shelters that will be killed if they are not adopted, due to lack of space.
You can judge me when you have watched perfectly wonderful, beautiful loving animals get killed becuase there just isnt enough room for them.

As for nueter/spay release, this if for wild cats, feral cats. Cats that can not be placed in homes. Its better that they are spayed and released than just killed, right? The more we can spay and nueter, the less feral cats there will be in the future.

SO its natural for 10-15million pets to be Euthanized every year? If you let nature be nature that # would rise exponentially. But I guess you dont care about those animals, they arent YOUR animals, so why should you, right?

Eh. That's why I would invest in a no-kill shelter. 

Feral cats are fun. Pooping in your yard, breaking your lawn ornaments, infecting children with rabies. Wooh.

Pro-Life is generally the term used for someone who is anti-abortion.

Though it is used for other things, when I speak of Pro-Life I do mean abortion.

Not human cloning, or death penalty, etc. It's still a term used for that, so yes...you can be Pro-Life. It just depends on which section you're rooting for.

I realize that lol That is why my avatar is pointing out the irony in the name. I have a degree in Political Science so these little ironys get to me. I hate the term pro-life becuase it was made up by the Christian right to envoke sympathy from the public.

I always thought it was more Catholic than Christian. Not that it matters because technically Christianity is supposedly a branch of Catholicism. I would willingly settle for Pro-Choice vs. Pro-Potential.

Which is why we need to stop the feral cats from breeding. There isnt enough money to pay for no-kill shelters for all of the feral cats...plus do you really want them to live out years and years in a tiny cage? The more we can do catch and release sterilization the less you will have to worry about them. Plus they are vacinated against rabies when they are taken in as well.
