Anyway, I take care of all of my kitten's litters and personally ensure that they grow up healthy, and in the event that they need their own space go to homes of people I know and trust. I don't let them run wild in the streets dodging cars and living in kennels. Hate me all you want, but I have more respect for life than that. Peta is into spaying animals if people are careless and just let them mate at random and run free. I know a place where cats NEED to be spayed and neutered, but that isn't my house. 

P.S. If cats don't have human emotions, then why do you care if they never know the love of a family? 

9. Your pet doesn't need to have a litter for your children to witness the miracle of birth. 
We've heard this one a lot. But you know what? Letting your pet produce offspring you have no intention of keeping teaches your children irresponsibility. Anyone who has seen an animal euthanized in a shelter for lack of a home knows the truth behind this dangerous myth. There are countless books and videos available to teach your children about birth in a responsible manner. 



UUUUGH. People actually do that? I cannot imagine going, "Hey! Watch this cat squeeze a kitten out her vag then consume the placenta. AWESOME!" I didn't even want to see that, I would not put my kid through it. Gah. GAH!

6. Spaying or neutering will NOT make your pet fat. 
It's no use to use that old excuse! Lack of exercise and overfeeding will cause your pet to pack on the extra pounds—not neutering. Your pet will remain fit and trim as long as you continue to provide exercise and monitor food intake.


Pffft. I just butchered my animal, I'm not going to tell them that now that they've been mutilated they can't binge eat. I think they're entitled to be fat, lazy animals as their sex drive has diminished greatly. They can lay around with me and eat lasagna. Who has time to be a food nazi anyway?

my lil cousin was over when we had the last litter. we made her go outside to play..my mom went with her. i had to make sure Poker had them all right and let them feed after. she did great. i didnt sit and watch i checked the kittens after she cleaned them and right as a part started coming out. i made sure the head was next. and put the blanket back over the cage and let her do her stuff. if i was a cat i wouldnt want someone sitting and watching that.

I couldn't help watching. She was on top of my brother. o.O Apparently his blanket was appealing to her, though I've never seen a cat give birth so publicly before. It's really... well, it leaves and impression.

haha..i just poor a whole bunch of food out for them..them come and go whenever to eat. we dont do it late at night..raccoons will get it them.

I have one of those never-ending feeders so they can eat whenever they please. Though I'm notorious for sharing whatever I don't want on my plate with the nearest animals.   I know people complain that it's not healthy, but I figure every once in a while it doesn't hurt to give them a junky treat.

I am saying that dont have human emotions towards their "children" that you are going to rip away from them. How would you like have kid after kid after kid, then have them taken away. Its not like they have a choice either. As soon as they go into heat every male cat in a 5 mile radius will be humping them. So basically your cat is going to be a kitten making machine untill she dies. Nice.

All the kittens you give to families take away from kittens those families could be adopting from shelters.

Basically, you will never understand fully untill you have had to watch and animal die becuase of people not spaying and nuetering their pets. There is no reason not to get your cat spayed, none. She will be happier and healthier and you coudl save the lives of animals. But basically you are being selfish and dont want to save her from a life of birthing kittens every few months. Awesome.

Oh and no, I am not Catholic. I am an animal loving, rescue worker who has spent one to many days in a shelter watching animals die becuase of people like you. Im athiest and proud of it.

Not many people without children bother to go to shelters, not that I know of. It's nice to have someone I trust and know will care for an animal take care of a cat I raised. It's cost effective for them, too. 

Also, I have indoor cats. So every male within a five mile radius will be humping the door. Factor that one in. 

I have watched animals die from people carelessly allowing their animals to screw anything that moves. They overpopulate and roam the streets, then get run over by a semi and turned into kittycakes. I get the picture. The point is you're stereotyping me because I raise cats in a controlled environment and allow them to have children when they choose to mate? Which isn't every few months with all cats. I know several who shun the males constantly - rawr. Hey, that's me though. Selfishly hoping that I'll get some animal planet action in my living room followed by the aforementioned birthing process that makes me nauseous. Better than cable?

I'm an animal loving girl who just happens to rescue cats without getting paid for it. You should go to my friend's neighborhood where they burn cats and cut off their ears before setting them loose. That's REAL material you could work with.

Oh hun, I dont get paid for waht I do, I work a regular job too. My rescue work is ALL volunteer. All the time.

Obvisouly you think what you are doing its right. Its just so hard for me to know that you actually think you are hurting your cat by getting her spayed, when in fact you would be helping her. And helping so many other animals in need. But I guess I am just a nut case (even though PETA, The Humane Society of the United States, all animal rescue organizations, the United States SHelter Systme all agree with me)
