re: Cat Pregnancy.

Tell her to take a damn test! haha, joking! Joking!
My cat got pregnant, and you could definatly tell after a while. Just give it some time and she will start to show. The delivery is also very easy, disgusting, but easy. Plus the cat eats all the placenta and everything so no clean-up.

Your cat sounds like she is pregnant,
Just a quick run down....
If her nipples are changing and getting swollen,(they may get lighter in color or pink)she's probably between 1 and 2 months. You should be able to feel swollen glands under the nipples now or soon.

I've never ever been able to feel movements.. even whenmy catwas 2 months. But she never had large litters.
And my mom only ever felt movements when the cat was pregnant with a very large litter.
It's pretty normal for her not to want you to touch her belly, she will most likely have a sore belly and nipples.

Just watch her behaviour.. offer her a dark place, though she will probably choose her own place. She will have bloody discharge anywhere from 48 hours to her actually giving birth.
A week or two before she has them, she will start looking for a birthing place, and will clean herself constantly... and lose her appetite a day or two before hand.
Some cats cry constantly and get very clingy when they are close to having kittens, and some are the exact opposite.

It's important to be present for her birth, to be ready to step in if there's a problem andto make sure the after birth is expelled after each kitten, but she will eat it.
If you KNOW the after birth didn't come out after each kitten, she will need a vet, or will get an infection which can be fatal.

If you have the money.. you could take her to the vet and have her checked.

so her nipples are starting to fill with milki think...shes not eating much...shes walking like she is uncomfy...and she is wanting to to rub her tummy all the time now. so im guessing she should be due sometime by the end of this week or next week.

Chikadee- i took her already but i didnt have money so my vet just looked her over and felt her tummy and told me she though she would be due in 2 to 3 weeks. My mom is taking her in at the end of this week if she doesnt have them yet and have her a FULL check up.

Please get your cat spayed after she has these kittens. She will be happier, and we dont need more kittens in this world, million die in shelters every year becuase of a lack of spaying and nuetering.

I don't agree with spaying. It's kind of like telling a person that after a certain amount of children they have to get their tubes tied. Besides, I wouldn't ever want to deny the gift of life to a creature of the earth (not to sound sappy, but it seems wrong to deny another female motherhood). I myself would like to have a large family some day, and my cat is entitled to one too. I should join Peta, maybe make organic foods bwahahaha. Anyway, not a personal attack, just an opinion.

From the pictures and from that you said she sounds pregnant. My cat just had Kittens about 3 weeks ago. We think she might be pregnant again. She dont go in a litter box so we have to take her outside. She was in heat for about 3 days.Well we couldnt find her one night, but when we did and I took her back up to my room, she wasnt in heat anymore. It looked like the male cat already got her. ( her neck was wet)

PETA is for spaying and nuetering, as are almost every organization on earth. Cats are not humans, they are animals. Basically you are making your cat go through a painful experience for no reason other than to guaranatee that many many many more cats die in shelters every year. How do you like THAT gift of life? Dying alone on a cold table never knowing the love a family? That is the gift you are giving when you dont spay and nueter your pets. Cats and dogs dont have human emotions, they dont "want" a family. Plus your just going to take those kittens away from her eventually anyway, what a nice family that will be.

I spend hours and hours pulling animals off death row in shelters, and I have to leave many behind, knowing that within days they will be dead becuase of irresponsible people like you. So yeah, I really hate people like you.

Top 10 Reasons to Spay or Neuter Your Pet

1. Your female dog or cat will live a longer, healthier life.
Spaying—the removal of the ovaries and uterus—is a veterinary procedure performed under general anesthesia that usually requires minimal hospitalization. Spaying a female cat or dog helps prevent pyometra (pus-filled uterus) and breast cancer. Treatment of pyometra requires hospitalization, intravenous fluids and antibiotics. Breast cancer can be fatal in about 50 percent of female dogs and in 90 percent of female cats. Spaying your pet before her first heat offers the best protection from these diseases.
2. There are major health benefits for your male animal companion, too.
Besides preventing unwanted litters, neutering your male dog or cat—the surgical removal of the testicles—prevents testicular cancer, if done before six months of age.
3. Your spayed female won't go into heat.
While cycles can vary greatly, female felines usually go into heat four to five days every three weeks during breeding season. In an effort to advertise for mates, they'll yowl and urinate more frequently—sometimes all over the house. Unspayed female dogs generally have a bloody discharge for about a week, and can conceive for another week or so.
4. Your male dog won't need to roam away from home...
An intact male in search of a mate will do just about anything to get one! That includes digging his way under the fence and making like Houdini to escape from the house. And once he's free to roam, he risks injury in traffic and fights with other males.
5. …and he will be much better behaved to boot!
Neutered cats and dogs focus their attention on their human families. On the other hand, unneutered dogs and cats may mark their territory by spraying strong-smelling urine all over the house. Indoors, male dogs may embarrass you by mounting on furniture and human legs when stimulated. And FYI, a neutered dog protects his home and family just as well as unneutered dog--and many aggression problems can be avoided by early neutering.
6. Spaying or neutering will NOT make your pet fat.
It's no use to use that old excuse! Lack of exercise and overfeeding will cause your pet to pack on the extra pounds—not neutering. Your pet will remain fit and trim as long as you continue to provide exercise and monitor food intake.
7. Spaying or neutering is highly cost-effective.
The cost of your pet's spay or neuter surgery is a lot less than the cost of having and caring for a litter. It also beats the cost of treatment when your unneutered tom escapes and gets into fights with neighborhood strays…or the cost of cleaning the carpet that your unspayed female keeps mistaking for her litter box, or the cost of…well, you get the idea!
8. It's good for the community.
Stray animals pose real problems in many parts of the country. They can prey on wildlife, cause vehicular accidents, damage the local fauna and scare children.
9. Your pet doesn't need to have a litter for your children to witness the miracle of birth.
We've heard this one a lot. But you know what? Letting your pet produce offspring you have no intention of keeping teaches your children irresponsibility. Anyone who has seen an animal euthanized in a shelter for lack of a home knows the truth behind this dangerous myth. There are countless books and videos available to teach your children about birth in a responsible manner.
10. It packs a powerful punch in the fight against pet overpopulation.
Millions of cats and dogs of all ages and breeds are euthanized annually or suffer as strays. These high numbers are the result of unwanted, unplanned litters that could have been prevented by spaying or neutering.

According to the American Humane Association, an estimated 9.6 million animals are euthanized in the United States every year. Out of 1,000 shelters responding to a survey, 2.7 million of 4.3 million animals or 64% were euthanized. 56% of dogs and 71% of cats that enter shelters were euthanized. 15% of dogs and 2% of cats were reunited with their owners; 25% of dogs and 24% of cats were adopted. The majority of these are euthanized at animal shelters, typically after a standard period of time (ranging from several days to several weeks for unclaimed stray animals).

eh i dont like to spay my females cuz i feel the same way. but at the same time i dont need any more cats and it will dry up her milk faster also. and my vet does them for free. lol.
my mom takes a lot of the stray females up there to get them done..cuz my cats are outside cats...we have woods they like to play in..so we put there food outside for them..and whenever a female has her babies..she does it under our pourch..and then stays around for the food. at one point we were feeding 36 wild cats...it was CRAZY and food went FAST. we have 5 cats alone..soon to be 6..((we are keeping a baby for momma))
