Not feeling movement at 30 weeks.. Horror Stories anyone?
posted 11th Aug '12
I'm 30 weeks and my baby used to move A LOTTTTT. So much it would bother me.
Lately I'm lucky if I feel him move 4-10 times a day. Past 2 days I have felt 2 kicks.
1 girl I know went to the ER after 6 hrs of no movement, and had to have an emergency C section because her baby wasn't breathing. He is ok now and well, but I'm SCARED of this happening to me.
Have you ladies ever had this issue? Any other answers from your OB/hospital OTHER than "do a kick count" ?!
My OB said to keep track, and if needed he'd do a non stress test. I feel like something is wrong.
Help/Advice needed! Stories or Horror stories appreciated, I like to know what CAN happen and to be prepared.
THANKS SO MUCH MOMS!

Why in the world do you want horror stories? Your baby could die. Mine did.
2 movements in 2 days is NOT enough. Go to the hospital to be monitored.

No horror stories here, but I will tell you, it's perfectly normal for them to change their patterns and such at this stage! They're running out of room in there to move as much, too. You may be too busy to notice it, and it may be rolling movement rather than just jabs to your stomach, lol.
That is the best advice, though, that's why they give it. Do your kick counts. Drink something cold/sweet, lay on your left side for a while. Play some music, talk to your tummy, put something cold on there, get baby moving. And try not to worry.

This.

why would you WANT horror stories? That makes no sense.
If you want them: use google. That's always a good scare.
Otherwise, if you're that worried, call L&D or go in and get a non-stress test done.

I know people have already said this but I really can't stress enough #1 thing to NOT do while your pregnant is look up or ask friends about their horror stories, it's just focusing on negativity. A happy Mom is a happy baby!
It's a possibility that you are feeling less movements because there is less room in there. Also, I've heard babies have their days like others where they are active one day and not the other.
If you are truly concerned I suggest going to the Doctor! Don't stress Momma, think positive!
