Question for C sectioon Mommas!

I have to have a c section this time around because of surgery I had recently on my uterus .... How early do they usually schedule your c section?? My Due Date is March 18th ... will they want to schedule it a week early ? Or 5 days or what is the latest I can wait or closest day to my Due date ??? Thanks!

Mine was emergency, but this time if I do end up having to have one (I'm going for a VBAC), I'm going to see if they will let me go into labor first.

You could ask to wait until you go into labor   do you live close to the hospital??

My Ob wants to do my repeat around 39 weeks, going into labor isn't desired.

I had mine scheduled a week before they did it, but I was trying to VBAC, so, I dunno if my answer counts.

So were you considered an emergency c section since you went into labor early??

I live in northern ky and they schedule at 39 weeks. They don't want to put u at risk for an emergency or something going wrong.

I live about 45 minutes from the hospital! I didnt think I was aloud to ask for this! If so then hell Ill wait til my water breaks before I go in! ... I wanted a water birth this time around both my other kids are vaginal so this is all new to me !

See I had surgery on the 27th of April and my first cycle after surgery was the 5th of June ... and by the 14th of July I found out I was pregnant. My Dr said she doesnt want me going into labor at all due to the fact she doesnt believe my uterus had much time to heal after surgery before I was pregnant!

Yes I was. And even though I had him early and went into labor on my own I still had to have a c section.

Since you can be sure of conception, your DD is more accurate, they may want to go a little earlier at 38 weeks, to be safer.

I had a section with my first, and I'm having another one with this baby.

My sister had her second section two weeks early, only because baby was "big" (lies) here you can pick your date, my OB is booking me in at 32 weeks, I'll prob pick the 12th to have her.
