I got mine at 5cm too...and it's a good thing b/c I went from 5cm to 10cm in 30 mins!! I don't want to know what those contractions would've felt like...

That's what happened to me!  Oh and I felt every contraction after that stupid thing too lol.  It actually worked really well for about 15 minutes and then I felt everything on my right side.  If I ever have another, I will do it all natural.  My sister did it twice.

Both times she wanted one but the labor progressed so fast that they said no.  Totally sad haha

omg...that happened to one of my neighbors in April. She started labor in the evening (comfirmed at the hospital) but decided to go back home until things were unbearable (due to insurance and all). By the wee hours of the morning (3am ish) she went back to the hospital. Well, once she was admitted, in the room, ready to start she asked for the epi. They denied her b/c she was 9.5cm! And 4 hours later she had her baby boy in her arms.

In a way, I am happy I got it but in a way I'm not.  I am not totally opposed to them but man, I swear I can still feel it sometimes.  

And what happened to your neighbor sucks.  I would hate to have been denied.

I didn't really have a problem with it (except the nerves in my legs have been messed up since..)

My fiance worked with a girl who got a spinal headache. She died a week after having her baby. =[

i had one like a week and a half ago...i dnt have any problems now but i had a seizure 12 hrs after delivering c section :/

I had a spinal for a c-section 5 days ago no migraine yet but I did bleed enough that I felt it run down my back all the way to the surgery bed.
