Saying I love you.

I have a (almost) 3 year old and she loves to talk to ppl on the phone. She talks for a whole minute or 2 and then always says "bye love you". it frustrates my mom for some reason and i just dont get it? am i missing something? is it because she never says it to her own kids? She doesnt have a problem when shes face to face with Madi saying i love you too or whatever. Should i ask her or just blow it off?

that sounds crazy to me... but we always say I love you. No matter what. I can be leaving the baseball field and following my sister to her house but before I get in the truck I tell her I love her and I'll see her in a min. My little girl is also almost three (Her b-day is in August) and she does the same thing. I think its the sweetest thing. I don't see why anyone would wanna get mad or frustrated.... it doesn't matter if its in person or over the phone.

Thats what i think, and i love when she tells me (which isnt very often anymore. shes glued to my hip but doesnt want to be lovey with me) Naptime, bedtime and sometimes in the morning after she crawls into bed with me she will give me a kiss and say "love you mommy!" those are the best mornings!

Hmm, that's odd that your mom gets frustrated by that. But I guess my family is ALWAYS saying 'I love you', and my my mom even says it if she's just calling me to tell me she's on her way over or something.

If I tell my little girl I love you all she usually says is "Too"... but if she comes up and says it she'll say all of it. And sometimes I'll ask her "Bugs, do you love me?" And she'll look at me all crazy and say Yeah!... Now she does it! She'll go up to my fiance (which isn't her real dad) and say Daddy, do you love me?... Its soooo cute =)

Thats the kindof family i'm now trying to create cause when i want to tell my mom its weird and i dont want my kids to be weird about telling me.

Aww... I'm sorry. That is one thing Mama always made sure we knew.. that we were very much loved. My dad was never around so I don't know if she tried making up for that by showing us more love or what. But I know we are a very close family because of it. My Mama gets her feelings hurt if we don't tell her... and we can be headed to her house. If for some reason we hang up before saying it, either a call back is made or a text is sent =)

Thanks for reading and responding...i wish i could say i feel better about the whole thing but oh well...i know my mom loves me and all my siblings shes just not used to being told i guess. Shes going to have to cause at least 2 or her grandkids are going to say i love you all the time   hehe
