Still not sleeping through the night!!

posted 11th Aug '12
DD is going to be 17 months on the 13th and she still does not sleep through the night. We have tried everything and she goes through 3-4 bottles a night. I don't know how she is hungry she eats all her meals and snacks during the day sometimes she doesn't want a night snack so I don't think its because she is hungry. I am at a loss of what to do she only takes like a 2 hour nap sometimes less. Any of you mommas have any ideas?

She goes down between 9-10 it all depends on when she naps

My 5 month old goes down at 7:30 and doesn't get up til 3:30 or 4 and then gets up again around 7am. My 6 year old goes down around 8-8:30 and gets up at 7 (It's summertime. He'll get up at 6:20 for the bus.)

I was told that putting them to bed later makes them over tired and they don't sleep as long. If it works for you and your lifestyle, you might try backing up bedtime and see how that works.

I think I will try that. I am willing to try anything I am exhausted through out the day because I sleep like smurf when she wakes up so much. She slept amazing as a infant.

Giving her a sippy cup with just water when she goes to bed might help. She might just be thirsty.
