My water broke at home and the painful contractions were instant. It was turrible.

Honestly, I think that'll be the only way I'll know it's the real thing. I get strong contractions, but I always tell myself they're just false labor so they're not even worth timing.

My 2nd my water broke at home and I never got contractions until I had pitocin. Thankfully because the hospital as an hour away

Oh damn, lol. I heard my water brake and felt it yet I got back into bed pretending nothing happened   The sounds of my moans woke my Husband and he started timing them. 45 min passed and he told me I was 5 min apart the whole time that I ought to consider getting up and going in. FML
