Quoting ★ Irishewwie™:" You say Obamacare like it's a bad thing. "
Because it -is- a bad thing. It's expensive, will cost people tons of jobs as the government decides how much they want to pay for services despite the actual COST to the healthcare provider (they do this already and it will just be on a larger scale), it will also cost people jobs in the billing industry as well as the insurance industry, and it violates our constitutional rights by forcing us to get insurance or be fined a large sum of money for not having insurance. I also don't like the idea of the government having a say in whether I deserve my heart transplant or not. And when the government is footing the bill, they get that say.
I agree that there have been some great reforms that have come out of the Obamacare bill such as capping how much insurance companies can charge, extending the age your children are covered under your plan, and not allowing pre-existing conditions to matter for insurance coverage. But there's a LOT wrong with Obamacare too.
