I Am Angry At TLC For The Honey Boo Boo Show!

My daughter has done pageants for a couple years now, although the majority has been natural pageants, and we sometimes tune into Toddlers and Tiaras to laugh at how crazy some of the Mom's choose to act, because I do find it utterly ridiculous. I had not watched it in a bit but tuned in the other night and was surprised to see after the show that one of the little girls who are a part of the show had her own spin-off and it was that little girl "Honey Boo Boo".

Listen, I know that it is not the little girl's fault and obviously she is how she is raised but are you kidding me? That family is as trashy as it comes and so unrefined and just...UGH! It really made me wonder what the hell TLC is trying to prove by creating a show based around hillbilly, redneck white trash like that. I actually could not believe I sat there and watched the damn thing as long as I did. And of all the people for them to choose to give a spin-off show to, they chose that family? Last time I checked, pageants were actually initially built to teach little girls how to act like little ladies....farting, burping, and all the other shenasmurfn's really does not reflect on anything pageant to me.

and I realize that the toddlers and tiaras show is probably extreme but I really hate the idea of pageants all together.

I thought it was entertaining.

It's entertaining. I mean you even said that you watched it lol. Thy aren't worried about portraying refined pageant girls that's why toddlers and tiaras is full of comedy and drama and this show is supposed to be comical. They're worried about money and ratings lol

It is extreme. I rarely meet a pageant Mom who actually acts like most of those women.....that show is ridiculous and this is coming from someone who participates.

I did watch but I will never again lol. I was sitting there, I think it confusion lol. It was weird though, and I cringed through the majority of it.

Yep, exactly how I felt lol. I was sitting there in confusion and my husband was getting angry by their pig lol.

I figured it was.......I'm sure a large number of pageant moms are normal people

I can't even stand to watch the previews of the show.

of course they would choose the most extreme stereotype for the tv show€€. That way they get the most viewers and the most people talking about it€€. If you think TLC or any other company are making reality tv shows to educate people or do anything BUT entertain their audiences€€, or shock them, you are seriously misinformed.
