Comic book cover for a game

Just wanted some opinions on this. I play on a play-by-post X-Men RPG. Which, if you don't know, means you and as many others as you want all get together and write out stories and control one or two or so characters. It's fun, because you never know how something will happen, because you aren't the only writer.

Anyhow, I'm in the middle of a big plot for my character, and I decided to practice in GIMP a little. I'm used to Photoshop, and I hadn't touched that in MONTHS. My question is: How does this comic cover that goes to my plot look?

I'm gonna post up the cover to the second part of it later on, once I think of a title for it, but in the meantime, what do you think?

what exactly did you do? create the whole cover or just the writing on it?

Whole cover. I obviously didn't draw it, but I did take the two pictures on it and manipulate them into the design.

If this looks ok, I'm tempted to make some for True Blood.  

I love Nightcrawler. I like it, only thing I would change is the font.

Yeah, I don't have a lot of fonts on this laptop as of yet. SO and I share this one. I used what I had.   As soon as I get some new fonts though, I'll definitely be changing it, even if it is just for my personal files.

  It IS isn't it?! I've been RPing for years, but I took a break while I was pregnant and taking care of DD. Now that she plays some by herself, I have a little more free time, and I can pick it up again.

Here's the second thread cover. Opinions? I know the erasing around the bars is a little off.

in this case, i love it.
i wouldnt change anything on it, i personally like the fonts etc.

I think the jagged eraser on the bars looks kind of cool actually. It fits with the rest of the page.

That was my first thought on the 2nd one as well, as soon as I read what you said and scrolled down, I was like, that looks like it's how it SHOULD be. I think it would be off if it was perfectly straight.
