1st Child is 7 months old. I think im pregnant again? Help?

HI, well my son just turned 7 months old. Ive been on birth control as soon as I could get on it after he was born. I had my period last month, and this month is hasnt come yet! Im worried. But is it too soon to be pregnant again? I mean I really wanted to wait until my son was at least a year old before having another. I dont know what to do. Please give me some advice..Thanks

Its never "too early" after a baby to get preg. again. Its been done a million times. Some people find out they are preg. again at their 6 week check up!!
For your sake, I hope your not, if your not ready..that'd suck. Just wait and test. Good luck!

I would try not to stress till you test. And if you are it wont be to bad they will still be a year and a half apart. I say just go with the flo. Bit I'm a very laid back person lol

You can defiantely be pregnant...the only way to know is to take a test...also, birth control can make things screwy so don't stress until after the test lol

They were telling us about how they see so many women back in the Labor and delivery 8-9 months after they delivered!!

Personally...I wouldn't want to have kids that close in age. But..lol..mine are going to be14 YEARS apart!!!!!! So.. I give it to the mom's that can handle it!

i just assumed that since she is new, she may have posted twice inadvertently. good looking out though - i do not think its a big deal.
anyways, you can definitely be preggers again. i had a scare in march so i know how you feel. but wait until you test (i know, easier said than done) good luck!

I'm new too and hardly ever post in the right one sooo yeah, I agree with you =)


But on the OP... They say you are most fertile right after you've given birth, so yeah, its very possible. But don't stress, bc can throw your monthlies off. I am soooo going to try everything imaginable after this one so that I don't get prego again for a very long time... i.e. bc, rubbers, spermicide... hell I may even try a woman's condom too WITH the other rubber =)

It's rarely on purpose. The nurses in l&d were just stating the facts about how much easier it is to get pregnant right away because your body is extremely fertile.

Kaiden is almost 6.5 months old, and we're trying for our second. *I'm out this month though - AF reared her ugly head* I want my kids close in age. Yes, I think it will be difficult and challenging, but imagine how you felt when you found out you were PG with your first. Everyone goes through 'second guessing' themselves, and a lot of girls get freaked out. But plenty of women do it, and as long as you can provide a loving and supportive home, then you're good to go.

Thank you to everyone who has given me some advice. Yeah I am new, obviously...sorry! Ill get the hang of this eventually. But Im just mostly worried about my son, I feel like he wont get the attention he deserves because of the "possible" new baby. And also of what people reactions will be to me being pregnant again. Usually I couldnt give a crap about what other people think about me, but this is just really bothersome. I KNOW i have to take the test before I freak out anymore, but I just have that "feeling" of being prego again. But yeah, thanks to everyone for giving me some advice, this seems like a great place to ask!
