go to this site, it is the cheapest vaction rental site that i have found so far. we were looking for a getaway vacation for sometime around july(low season, so its cheaper) just pick anywhere in the world and they have vacation homes that the owners own themselves.

Hurricane season is from June 1- Nov 30, but the 'canes can still come after that (see the 2005 year).

On our honeymoon we used vrbo.com to book our beach house. It was so much cheaper then staying in a nice hotel for a week. For 1 week it was around a thousand dollars. And it was a 3 br 2 bath home all to ourselves right on the ocean!! It was perfect!

Maybe mid to late Sept. I went to Cayman Islands in Sept, it was great, weather was great, not to many people.

We are going to the Bahamas the week before Christmas.
