Quoting desi&cody:" lol ohhh okay. yeah it's pretty hard not gonna lie   and I've never ever ever drank before or been to ... [snip!] ... they need to grow up and stop being spoiled...they totally take for granted that their kids are healthy and I hate that.."

Oh yes! I couldn't imagine my child being special needs. Definitely feeling thankful my kids are pretty normal more than ever. I wasn't the partier type, but I did drink secretly and completely alone before hand, then a little after Connor was born. But I was pretty messed up. I never just dumped my kids off on someone unless they offered and/or I had to. It just really pisses me off seeing girls/guys I know out all the time, without their kid in tow

Im not agreeing with 16 and pregnant by any means but it is possible to do everything and live a normal teen life...
Im 17 my son is 5 months
I had him at the end of my junior year and finshed 2 honors classes with a 4.0
Im starting my senior year as a varsity captain cheerleader, have a full class load and i still take care of my son.
With the support of my family and parents especially i'm lucky enough to be able to do all that. So its not easy i know that. but it is possible with support.

I think you kind of missed the point and at the same time supported the point. Yes these things can be done WITH support from family. I did similar things withOUT support. Many of these girls do have more than enough support from their families that is not shown on tv. Point is that this sets unrealistic ideas for new teen parents who's parents don't support or barely support their new life as a young parent. In high school I was an assistant coach for my high school teams in both soccer and track. My son was with me nearly every time I was working for the school and it was pretty much the only break I got from my ft job in a store. I didn't have much family at all. I couldn't play having a kid running around the sidelines, but I was able to be taken in as an assistant where he could follow me around. Kwim? I think you still have a long way to go.

I'm not in anyway putting you down. Just saying what this was all about. I know a great deal of changes happens in the blink of an eye, let alone 4 years in my case. Most girls are left to their own devices after having a child in high school, with little to zero help. I had Connor at the beginning of my junior year. Pretty much spent all but 6ish weeks of my 16th year either pregnant or with an infant with ZERO help from anyone and still managed to pass a 4 year honors program and got into Ohio State. I did all this fighting with a "guidance" counselor who kept telling me I was worthless and going to fail everything, plus a "mother" who straight up said "you should just get your GED and a job, because you'll never get farther than Chillicothe". This is just an example of what I mean by no support

High schools moms looks more real than the stylized crap on TM/16&P. I'm interested in seeing if the show is actually anything like the commercials.

I'll have a 3 to 4 month old when I graduate. It's definately not going to be easy, but with the right support, it's possible. I was able to only have 5 classes all year. 3 first semester and 2 second. The baby will be born during second semester.
