My bestfriend's niece had seizures following her first round of shots at 2 months....they confirmed it was caused by the vaccines...most likely DtaP but couldn't be sure because they gave her five vaccines at one time. They chose to be selective and only get one at a time from then on....My other close friend had a horrible reaction to DtaP and was screaming non stop all day/ night due to swelling of the brain...they didn't give his sister that vaccine and stopped vaccinating him....VAERS I'd there for a reason...not everyone can process vaccines without adverse reactions and not everyone can gain immunity from vaccines either

I never said it never happened!!!! I just said I have never met anyone who had anything happen. I still believe in vaccinating kids though 100%. My kids wouldnt beable to go to school if they were not vaccinated.

Every state except for 2 I believe offer philosophical and religious exemptions as well as medical exemptions....If you didn't want to vaccinate or at least be selective and not want to give like the chicken pox vaccine or something your child could still attend school. You just have to write a letter explaining your reasons and sign it.

Seems like every baby in my family gets super fussy and high fevers for a few days.

Here you can do the religious thing but you have to prove it with letters and that from your church that its actually due to religion cause so many use it when its just a choice.
Its just my kids school in the area that does this...and I wanted my kids to go there since its the top school for kids with learning disabilities. My 10 yr old is clinically deemed with learning disabilities.

i've heard of most kids having some sort of reaction to vaccines, but not serious ones. most of the time, they're fussy and run a slight fever for just a little bit, but that's because their bodies are making antibodies against the disease for their immune systems.
i've never known someone personally that had a serious reaction to a vaccination.

You can pull reasons from pretty much all of the common religions. My fiancée is a Jehovah's Witness and they used to try to ban you if you vaccinated way back in the day....I think most don't know this now tho because my fiancée was vaccinated.

I know what you mean. Its just here if you go by a religion that does not vax but you.don't attend a church on a.regular basis they will not except your non vaccinated child. You need proof a lot of proof. But its just my kids school.all others are not like that.

Its a public style.school but private. No uniforms runs like a public/ private if that makes sense.

I don't think its.dumb....people lying on religious beliefs is wrong IMO and that's why they do it. Too many people lying that's why they don't vax then complain about their kids having to participate in religious activities at school. Saying they were not religious.
So they.changed it.

I still.don't understand why people choose not to vax their kids. But whatever. I only worry.about my own family.
