We almost there october mommies

my name is kecia and I"m 30 weeks today and im just counting down the months/days until I get to see my little man I have a friend who is so not using her brain shes 31 weeks pregnant in her water had broke so she was excited cause all she kept saying was she wanted to hold her babu I explained to her if she had it they would take em to the nicu because he would be premature well somehow being in the hospital for a couple days they helped her build her fluids up so lastnight they discharged her n told her she can go home now my friend is upset cause she didnt have her baby so now she doing everythong in her power to have it by drinking castrol oil n running up n down the step isnt that weird or is it just me??

Lucky for her she was able to keep baking. Some people just don't understand the effects pre-term labor has on baby. She probably also doesn't understand that nothing she tries is going to work unless baby is ready to come. She is just making herself miserable in the mean time.

That's not weird, it's irresponsible and stupid.

We are due the same day! I am SO ready to have my body back! Lol... As is everyone else im sure  . Ive never made it to any of my due dates with my other kids so id say i have somewhere between 6 to 8 weeks left! Its getting close!!!!

And... Btw... Your friend should do research on casto oil and the effects it has on the baby. The baby could have a bowel movement in the womb and become extremely ill especially if having to be delivered early. I dont think 9 or so more weeks of waiting is too bad to make sure she CAN hold her baby.

A baby born that early will be in the nicu and she won't have her baby she will leave the hospital without him/her.

I wish I could hold my baby too. But I'm wishing for a time warp then childbirth lol some people think just because a baby is viable right now, that it would be great to have them now. They don't think about the long hard road that could lie ahead for both of them. I hope she sees the ignorance in her ways.

Wow your friend is an idiot. I am sorry to say that. You sound smart. My boy was born 3 wks early and he was in the NICU and had to have lung surgery. If she has her baby it will be in the NICU for a while, that is so hard and it is dangerous for the baby's health. Tell her to take it easy and wait it out. We don't have much longer GEEZ. God bless that child.

good luck to you as well! im sooooo excited! im getting very impatient. i feel like time is going by slower than ever. im hoping after my shower time will go by faster but knowing my luck it wont haha

i am also 31 weeks and im high risk i stay in bed 22 hrs a day fighting for my son id love to see him and hold him when the time is right at 31 weeks its not ok your baby cant eat and breath at the same time so feeding tube ..... she needs to grow up and understand this isnt about her and her wants its for that sweet baby growing inside her and best thing for baby making it to 37 weeks

Wow, Ridic!! I had my first son at 31 weeks..It was a horrible experience! He did go to the NICU & I didn't get to hold him right away. he was wisked away! He spent a month in the NICU & I generally only got to hold him 5 Minutes at a time...Not to mention all the wires & needles sticking out of him. She has NO IDEA what a rough first few days/months it is for the baby when they're premature. She sounds selfish & she won't get to hold her baby or enjoy him like she thinks she will. She really needs to let the baby bake for a lot longer...Believe me, The NICU is an emotional rollercoaster for both Mom & baby. It's no fun!!

I'm due October 21st too! :-) I have heard of a lot of women doing things like that to induce, but not this early! She should do some research. The longer they stay in your belly the better it is for their development!
