Im only 7 weeks...

But i hear all the old wives tales about if you have heartburn you child will have a lot of hair or if you throw up a lot you will have a boy. when do you typically find out the gender, or is it good to wait till the baby is born to find out?

Around 20 weeks, some earlier, some later.

I found out i was having a son at 18 weeks.

I found out at nineteen weeks. If its a boy they could tell earlier, even. But don't believe all the old wives tale. All signs pointed to boy for me, and here I am having a baby girl!

Neither of those held true for me. I never had morning sickness or heartburn. I had a healthy baby boy with a full head of hair.

However, there is actually something to the heartburn thing. The hormone that causes hair growth is also one that causes heartburn. I guess I was just lucky.

apparently if u gt bad heartburn it means ur havin a girl, my mum had it when she ws pregnant wi me n i had it when i ws pregnant wi monique. x

supposidly the heart burn one is true... the hormone to grow thier hair causes heart burn from what i was told

I found out I was having a girl at 21 weeks. I was told that I was having a boy because I never had any morning sickness. I don't think you can really go by those old wives tales. I think some are just a coincidence.

I heard its harder to tell if its aboy.... sometimes the boy parts take a while to drop, so untill they do, the baby looks like a girl... and all boys drop at a different time... thats typically why doc. like to wait till 17 to 20 weeks for u/s....

I'll give you a quick version of my story.
I had horrible morning sickness, and heartburn. They said it was a girl at 20 weeks.
At 37 weeks, they said it MIGHT be a boy.. no sure way to tell until you have the baby.
But if the heartburn thing is true, I'm giving birth to a warewolf.

Well I had morning sickness with my oldest son & heartburn ... so in that case it was true .. And well I have had morning sickness every day for the last 22 wks and found out two weeks ago I am having a boy ...

I found out at 16 weeks. And also with my son, i never had heartburn yet he came out with a TON OF HAIR! The comments that I've constantly been hearing since he was born is.."OMG look at the hair!!" lol. Also I didn't get sick alot either, I'm just a gagger.

I had horrible all day sickness and the heartburn was so bad that I begged the Dr for some medicine for it.
