I wouldn't know what to do with a baby that small! I was induced 1 week & 2 days after my DD and my son was 9 lbs 5oz!

What is a disappearing twin?  I've never heard of that before.  It is definitely an amazing thing and you are very lucky that your boys were full term and healthy.

Wow thats early! I don't know what I would do if I ended up having a pre-term babie let alone two of them! I was watching a show about triplets last night and one of the ladies had her's at 34 weeks, they all grew up healthy though.

It's called vanishing twin syndrome and it happened to me! Just google it and you will find a ton of info on the subject!

I just quickly read up about the Vanishing Twin Syndrome, but I'm still not clear about it. The information says that the baby reabsorbes itself either into the other baby, or the Mom. But in this case, they were both born, but the "vanished" baby was just super tiny.

I guess it's not always that they baby is actually lost. Do I have it right?

i don't really know much about it, we were lucky enough to not have to worry about it. we only worried about when ben started to grow slowly

I know this woman who had twin boys, and had Twin to Twin Transfussion Syndrome, and it sounds pretty similar. They one baby was getting all the nutriants and growing, while the other one lagged behind tremendously. They were actually born at 29 weeks. The one baby was 2lbs,2ounces, the other "large" baby was 3lbs,11ounces. They are now 3 years old. There is still a big difference between the two boys and size, but are relatively healthy and doing great.
