question about stomach pains

posted 16th May
i hope this doesn't sound stupid but i've asked my mom and she doesn't knnow and whenever i call my doc. they always tell me to lay on my left side and drink plenty of fluids and i've already done that soooo i need your opinions.

My stomach has been cramping for the past 2 days and its doing it again today. It feels like i did a million crunches and i get really sharp pains right above my pubic area. I'm able to poop(sorry i know thats kinda gross)and all and at first thats what i thought my stomach pains were from but since they've been going on for the past 2 days it has me worried.
At first i thought they were BH but my mom said it doesn't sound like they are and i understand they could be ligament pains but it hasn't hurt like this before.

Has anyone else had this problem or do you think you might know what it is?

I've been having pains like this as well..but my doctor told me it was because he had dropped and is preparing for birth.

Are you having any trouble when you pee (i.e. pain, burning, etc)? It could be signs of a uti or bladder infection if they aren't going away. However, if your baby has dropped, it could just be the pressure of the baby's head on your pelvic region. As the head settles into position, it forces the bones and ligaments to spread and can be quite painful. I personally would call the doctor back and explain that it has lasted for a few days in a row and that I wanted it to be checked out. JMO, though.

I'm due within a few days of you... I have those same kinds of pains. Are you on your feet a lot? And when do you usually have the pain?

My midwife told me to pay attention to when I got those pains, and we've realized that they're usually the worst in the evenings and that they're related to how much physical activity I do. [I teach during the day, and it's difficult to avoid lifting things and bending over etc.]

So.... it could be related to a lot of different things going on with you, like, where the baby is positioned, what activity you've had during the day and all that. Maybe you're just doing too much and not realizing it? If you're anything like me, it's hard to just relax sometimes, there's too many things to do!

i have noticed it does hurt worse when i walk around a lot.
last night i went to the mall for like 30 min. and it almost killed me.
my pains though are pretty much bad all day but i tend to notice it more at night too.

no not when i pee (this is really gross) but if i try and push to fart it hurts right above my pubic area so bad.
yeah if the pain doesn't go away by the end of the day i'll call the doc.
