re: Official BG Fantasy Football Thread

ATTENTION EVERYONE!

We are going to do an offline draft.

Make yourself a draft list in order of preference. Try to include at least 5 of each position. You don't have to put all your QBs at the top to make sure you get a QB. Put your players in order of preference and then just put their position next to their name. For example: (I'm gonna use actors instead of players, but you get the idea)

Jensen Ackles - QB
Ian Somerhalder- K
Ed Westwick- RBIan Harding- TE
Chace Crawford- RB
Jared Padalecki- QB
Chad Michael Murrary- WR
Austin Nichols- WR
Joseph Morgan- K
Keegan Allen- TE


Notice how I have people for every position in the order that I want them (hehe) and not in order by position. When I'm picking everyone's teams, I will do them in order by preference but I won't triple book your positions. If you have a QB on your first string and your bench, I will skip over any other QBs on your list. Same goes for all other positions.

Each team will get a 1st string QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 W/R, 1 TE, and 1 K. For each bench, I will put 1 of each position. You also need to list 3 or 4 teams for your defense.

Before I get your draft lists, I want to do a draft order contest.

I was thinking maybe "best sports pic" of a LO? Like post a pic of your kid(s) in sports gear or playing a sport or something. If anybody doesn't have a kid yet, let me know and I'll think of something else

I will make a contest and everyone can submit their entry, then we will have voting. Anyone on BG will be able to vote of course. Draft order will be determined by the results.

Lol we can, I just thought it would be fun to do a contest. That way its not about who was online or who saw the thread first, etc. Everyone can have a fair shot at going first.


You don't have anything sports related? It doesn't have to be football and it doesn't have to be closed. It could just be LO holding a ball or something

I updated it in the OP

So I updated the post at the top of this page to let people know I want all draft picks in by next Friday (Aug 24th).

Anyone who doesn't have theirs in by that day will get bumped from our draft then I will autopick off the NFL rankings according to who is left. Really, the sooner the better.  

I'm still last even according to random.org. Lol. Oh well. Such is life. I'm just excited! I'll work on my list later and try to get it done soon.

So, I have a confession... And I'm probably the ONLY dork in this thread that does this.. But now every time I see anybody from this thread either make a new thread or post on someone else's thread, it's like I pay extra close attention. I care MORE now what you guys have to say whereas before most of y'all were just part of the huddled masses that come out and comment on stuff. Lol.

lol well I definitely recognize all of you now when I'm in other threads  

I'm just like this silent cheerleader whenever I see people from this thread. I'm like "Yeah! What she said!" and "She makes a good point!" ....And then I translate that into an actual intelligent comment and post. Haha.
