Military mamas

DH leaves for basic on 8/20. Will he get his first check through the army on the 1st or will we have to wait til the 15th?

It's wise to be prepared to go more than a couple pay periods without receiving pay....it's happened to people. I don't hvae any definitive answer for you though. GL!

Most likely the 15th, but don't be surprised if it doesn't come until the first of October. I had a similiar situation when I went to basic. I entered 21 Mar, 2006. I didn't get my first paycheck until the 15th. But sometimes military pay can get backed up or jacked up.

The military is unpredictable sometimes. My DH has been in for 5 years and they've accidently "skipped" us on his payday. Once it happens, they don't fix it until the next payday.

Ya it could be a while... They mess things up all the time.... My fiance signed for 3 more years this past week and the 10,000 sign bonus was already put in his account so he calles his SSG and he said not to touch it cuz they were taking it back cuz he wasnt suppose to get it till october..... Smurfed up

Isn't it frustrating?

We got re stationed 6 months ago. They adjusted out BAH, and everything was fine. Well, 5 months after we moved, they realized they were over paying us in BAH (their fault, we had no idea), so now, they're going to take $1800 from us, all out of one paycheck.

Ya when he first signed they payed him 42,000 and they were suppose to only pay him 20,000 (he didnt know) so they took most of it back and then had to take from his taxes one year( cuz he spent it ) its dumb that they smurfed up and he owed them back for their mistake... Good thing he called them before spending the 10000 this time....
