growth scan results!

I'm 32 weeks and had a growth scan today because I measured at 30 yesterday. Her arms legs and head measures just fine. Her abdomen was normal. She weighs approximately 3 pounds 13 oz and the tech told me she's in about the 30th percentile, and normal is 50. So she's just a little bit smaller. I'm small and was a small baby and so was SO.

My mom is making a huge deal and saying she's too small, she should be bigger, I need to eat way more and is just getting on my last nerve. I am trying to be positive here. The tech didn't make a big deal and didn't seem concerned.

Normal or no?

Normal. Not to mention an U/S can be off by up 2 lbs either way. So baby could be a little bigger.

This is the part where you need to have a couple to make a comparison on how she typically measures during a growth scan. The 30% is totally normal. They don't start worry unless the baby is around 10% or under that. I think 10% is SGA (small for gestational age) and under 10% (it might be 5%) is IUGR. There's also wiggle room if the tech measurements are off. The due date could be off by a couple of days, the baby could be inbetween big growth spurts, etc..etc...
