Party ideas please!

So DD is turning 5 at the beginning of Sept and this is a big birthday to me. She has never really had a party before (outside of cake and presents and doing something fun with her of course) so I would like to throw her one. Problem is I am stuck on ideas. I was thinking of doing either some kind of rainbow theme party or maybe some kind of princess party or even a fairy party. I tried asking DD what she wanted but all I get is IDK..... . So if you mammas could throw some ideas at me that would be great! She is a total girly girl so lets hear it!  TIA

Under the Sea/Mermaid?

Fairy party sounds fun, or a butterfly party? Barbie party? Ballerina party

If shes super girly, something like a fairy or princess theme would be cool. You could find some cheapo costume wings somewhere and everyone could have a pair   The only other things that came to mind for me were tea parties and ballerinas. Haha =P Good luck with picking something out though. I'm sure you'll make it a great day for her  

For DD's second birthday we did a Candyland theme. It turned out so cute! I would show you pics but I have none on this computer. Google & pinterest have good ideas tho.

She loves the little mermaid! But I am trying to say away from popular characters to avoid higher cost.

yeah I love the fairy party idea but I can't find many ideas for it.

I agree! I made a lot of cute decorations and bought most of the supplies for it at the dollar store.
