re: How did YOUR labor start?

i was just 37 weeks, woke up at 4 am with contractions every 10 min.... started loosing my mucus plug but was in complete denyal about baby coming, but 5:30 that night i was having contractions every 3-5 min and my fiance forced me to go to the hospital.... by 1:17 AM i gave birth to my baby boy. i had no other signs other then the real deal, my water didnt even break till i was 8 cm dialated like 40 min before i had our boy. so for me at least there were no signs... i didnt even think i was in real labor till i got in there and they checked me and i was dialted to a 4 and 2 days earlier i was only 1/2 a cm...... but good luck!!!!!!

Exactly one week before my due date everytime I would stand up I would feel lots of pressure. At 9 pm that night I was at my mom's house for dinner, standing in her kitchen talking to her while she made dinner and I felt a warm, wet sensation. I ran to the bathroom and sat on the toilet and more came out. I knew it wasn't pee so I went and told my mom that I had "sprung a leak" I told her she could finish dinner since my step-dad and step-brothers were hungry. In the mean time I kept having small gushes of fluid and my contractions started. I got to the hospital at 11 pm, got checked in in the ER. When I got up to L&D and got out of the wheel chair to be weighed my water broke the rest of the way, all over my pants, socks, and the floor it was so embarrassing. I had DS at 5:47 the next morning.

A day before I was 41 weeks, I woke up around 8am and went to the bathroom. As I was mid sit on the toilet, a good amount of liquid came out. I just thought it was a lot of discharge or something and thought nothing of it. I went back to bed and around 10am I woke again to use the restroom. I walked about 4 ft to the door and another gush of liquid came out. I looked at my shorts and there was a wet spot about the size of the palm of my hand on there. I used the bathroom again, cleaned up and changed then went and laid down on the couch downstairs. I laid there for about 45 mins and stood up again, and whatta ya know, more liquid. Called L&D and they said I needed to come in-my water was leaking.   And from there I got checked in at the hospital, did a whole bunch of nothing, and my water fully broke at 12:45 that night...er...next morning? Lol After that the real labor started and had my daughter at 9:01 then next night.
